This project is supported by the Nikon-Fotobus-Grant 2025
This project explores the opportunities available to people with disabilities in Germany for working, learning, and living, and also examines the alternatives and support available to them. It focuses on individual stories and inclusion. Inclusion means that a society is structured in such a way that all people can participate in it as they wish.
I began this project in the field of education at my sister‘s school: The Camphill School Communities Association (Camphill Schulgemeinschaften e. V.) runs the private special education and counseling center with a boarding school. The school, named Föhrenbühl, is located below Heiligenberg Castle, offering a sweeping view of the Salem Valley. With over one hundred students, it is the largest Camphill School Communities location on Lake Constance. Idyllically situated on the hillside, ten boarding houses, various school buildings, a kindergarten, a riding stable, and a garden center form an entire village.
